Daughter puts a predictable twist on Daft Punk’s recent single, “Get Lucky”, claiming the temporary cover battle throne we all knew would take place. Surrounded with sultry vocals, reverb ladened axes, and an overall down-tempoed minimalist approach, we can only imagine this cover suitable had Daft Punk died half way through the song. Daughter’s rendering leaves me wondering if anyone else has grown bored of this convenient approach.
